Each year, the Chicago Safe Start (CSS) collaborative hosts Childhood Exposure to Violence (CEV) Prevention Week; which begins Monday, April 18, 2016. CEV Prevention Week focuses attention on the negative impact of CEV with a special focus on infants and very young children. The collaborative encourages parents and caregivers, and the providers that serve them, to expand their knowledge, relationships, and practices to better protect Chicago’s children from exposure to violence and trauma.
The theme for CEV Prevention Week (April 18-22, 2016) is Protecting Every Child, Every Day! #StopCEV
